The Maverick billboard plays on the word "Maverick", an unbranded bull (and the university's mascot).
During the first year of operation, the Office of University Communications labeled that year as the year of fundamentals. We took the time to really think about the identity of the university and define ourselves before telling UNO's story. That is why we took on the dictionary format for this billboard to define the Maverick (alive in each member of the UNO community).
